Tunstall in-house glossary

A facility that monitors multiple alarms and reacts to their triggers. They are usually staffed 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Teams who work in ARCs often monitor a range of systems, including telecare services, fire and intruder alarms, CCTV cameras and more. An ARC is sometimes called a Monitoring Centre, Command Centre, Control Centre, Contact Centre or a Response Centre.
