Tunstall

A device that connects to a router and provides a traditional telephone connection to a digital network so the user can make calls over the internet. The ATA acts as an intermediary between the telephone and a VoIP server, digitising voice data so that it can be transmitted over the internet.

This is a small connector which allows analogue telecare alarms to be plugged into a digital router. In some cases, the router will have an ATA built in.
