Definition
Adult Social Care Finance Return (ASC-FR) 2021-22 - guidance

Within short term support the Primary Support Reasons (PSRs) are analysed between "Short term care to maximise independence" (also known as reablement) and "Short term care - other".

As per [the Service Reporting Code of Practice (SeRCOP)], "Short term care to maximise independence" includes all episodes of support provided that are intended to:

be time-limited
maximise the independence of the individual
reduce or eliminate their need for ongoing support.

Short term support to maximise independence includes reablement services.
