workshops
As we embark on creating a skills and qualifications framework for local government, we are calling on your support to help shape this work.
Throughout this project, we recognise the vital importance of seeking practitioner input and working with key partners. We are seeking to develop something that takes good practice and learning from the range of frameworks that already exists, and tailor them to meet diverse local authority needs.

Why do we need your help?

Initial Discovery Workshops
Held in May 2022, the overarching objective of these workshops is to further our understanding of the needs of the sector in this space, and what solutions and support Socitm and the LGA (within skills and qualifications) can put in place to best support this.

Outline Discovery Workshops
These workshops will provide an opportunity to look at the minimum viable product (MVP) framework, and a chance to challenge, validate and change work to date. More information to follow...

Verification
Workshops
These workshops are a chance to look at an iterated framework and feedback. More information to follow...
The aim of our project is to deliver a skills and qualifications framework for Digital, Data and Technology (DDaT) and Cyber professionals in local government. The framework is being established for a number of key reasons, including:

To help the sector build a strong workforce with the appropriate skills and qualifications to progress in DDaT and Cyber professions.

To facilitate career progression and to build a sustainable talent pipeline of people who are qualified to step-up and fill relevant roles.

To create a comprehensive and supportive framework that is accessible, interactive, and easy to navigate.
