ICT Lead Specialist

with Guildford Council

Socitm Advisory are looking for an ICT Lead Specialist for an external position with Guildford Borough Council.

Working Pattern: Full Time
Hours: 37 hours per week
Salary: £61,620 - £72,911 per annum

This is a Senior Management position at service leader level, responsible for the leadership of all aspects of ICT capability at Guildford Borough Council. Working in partnership with other service leaders to drive significant change in line with the Future Guildford programme ensuring technology will be a key enabler for the delivery of the Council’s strategies, digital enablement of services and value for money.

We have several inflight programmes including a new ERP system, CRM and digital platform, an upgrade to Guildford’s revenues and benefits system, and new technologies that emerge from the Future Guildford programme, that all require an individual to work across the council and its partners to ensure these programmes result in maximum efficiency.

In addition to these programmes, Guildford requires you to have excellent knowledge of the innovative and emerging technology and produce and drive a costed ICT roadmap for the future and require you to bring true vision.

The Lead Specialist for ICT will play a critical role in shaping our technology strategies and supporting us through an ambitious programme of transformation. Alongside the management of the ICT teams, you will reinvigorate our core ICT services and infrastructure, providing stability and a platform for growth. Championing technology across our workforce, your leadership will ensure that our blend of functions combine to deliver high-performing, value for money ICT services.

It is essential that you have significant experience of leading an ICT function through change and ideally have worked with government organisations. You will have delivered measurable business outcomes through technology strategies and you will be able to point to a strong track record of innovation and improvement.  You will be an inspirational manager and adept at developing high performing teams, promoting continuous learning and sharing best practice, knowledge and expertise.
